Royal Canin release Kitten 36
New from Royal Canin, the feline health nutrition
specialists, is Kitten 36 – an
ultra-highly digestible food, which uses over 90% digestible
proteins to provide maximum digestion of key nutrients to ensure
healthy growth and development for kittens between the age of four
and 12 months. The high digestibility of the
proteins means the kitten tolerates the food very well, and
combined with fructo-oligo-saccharides, results in reduced faecal
smell and volume – a benefit for both kittens and their
owners.
The four to 12 month age period sees the kitten’s growth rate
slow down, while the digestive system and natural immune defences
gradually become stronger – although they will remain fragile and
susceptible to changes for some time. This phase also sees the
arrival of adult dentition, so oral care becomes essential. While
bones and muscle strengthen, the kitten still has high energy
requirements for optimum growth and development – as well as
growing confidence and exploration! Royal Canin Kitten 36 is
designed to cope with all these changes as the kitten moves into
adulthood.
Kitten 36 joins Royal Canin’s established Growth range,
replacing Kitten 34. It is the natural follow-on to the company’s
Reproduction range, which provides foods from the start of
gestation through to adulthood, with Queen 34 for gestating and
lactating queens, Babycat milk, an instant milk substitute, and
Babycat 34 for weaning and the intense growth phase from one to
four months of age.
