One of the major areas of research involves food safety. Raw materials are rigorously selected from committed suppliers to adhere to very strict specifications. Each delivery is systematically analysed in the auto control laboratory at each factory before the lorry is unloaded. This confirms that the nutritional value meets the specification, and carries out tests such as mycotoxin analysis. These tests take 30 to 45 minutes, and either validate acceptance of the delivery or not.
Quality control is also applied throughout the manufacturing process, using the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) method. Additional analyses are carried out on finished products, while each raw material and each production batch is sampled and 100 per cent traceable.
